Students wearing the Hakuou school uniform

Hakuou Academy is the prestigious school that NagiHayate, and most of the other characters attends. The school has many wealthy and smart students attending it, and up to 3 students per year are allowed to skip grades if they are eligible. Though the school has a proper school uniform, it is normal to see people wearing butler uniforms in the school; since there are a lot of wealthy students who have butlers accompanying them, like Nagi Sanzenin andKoutaro Azumamiya.

The school's board of directors include Mikado Sanzenin, and Athena Tennos who also serves as board chairman.Kirika Kuzuha is the superintendent, however she has only been given more development in the anime. The current student council president is Hinagiku Katsura, who is also the school idol.

The school is very well guarded day and night. Teachers patrol the entrances, particularly it has been shown thatYukiji has guard duties even at night as she lives inside the school. The school also has a very strict security force as demonstrated when Ayumu tried to enter the school during Valentine's Day.

A notable location of the school is the Clock Tower, which also houses the Student Council room. It is the highest point in the entire school, and gives the people up in the tower a great view of the surrounding area. However only members of the student council and people with official business with them can go up the clock tower. A more notorious part of the school would be the old school building which is very run down and is even haunted, though Isumihas exorcised the evil spirits inside.

The school follows the national holidays and festivals of Japan like the Golden Week vacation, and the school even holds a Hinamatsuri Festival. Other events include the school marathon and the school hike on Mt. Takao. It also has a holiday named Sabbatical Day, contrary to its name has actually no relation to any religion, which serves as a rest day after the school hike for students with weaker physique.

The entire mansion is very huge, supposedly occupying 65% of Nerima. The mansion grounds include an amusement park, and even a lake among many others. The mansion interior is also very big much to Nagi's woes. Though the entire mansion is very big, Nagi only uses a small portion of the place and only employs a few people to maintain the household.

Royal Garden

The Royal Garden, according to Athena is the center of the world. It consists of the Hill of Calvario with a castle, where God lives, on top of it, and an actual garden with 365 Pillar of Abraxas. The whole place is so big and filled with mysteries like how the candles are lit by themselves. The castle also has various objects including the Mirror of Celestial Sphere, the sword Shirozakura, the unknown coffin and other treasures of gold and silver. To enter or exit the Royal Garden one must have a King's Jewel with light. The castle is also said to contain an enigmatic power dubbed The Power of Royalty. Time flow inside the Royal Garden also seems distorted as compared to the outside.

Before Hayate first came to the Royal Garden, Athena had already been living inside for an unspecified amount of time. She entered the Royal Garden before to acquire The Power of Royalty but failed. For her actions she got cursed alongside her accomplices, Mikado and Himegami. Athena's curse was that she could not touch a King's Jewel thus was trapped inside the Royal Garden. The only way for her to leave was if someone with a King's Jewel with light came and rescued her by destroying 1 correct Abraxas Pillar out of the 365, failure would mean death to the one with the King's Jewel.

Ten years ago, Hayate accidentally stumbled into the Royal Garden. It was then he met Athena for the first time. Athena asked Hayate to live with her as a butler and so he did. But soon afterwards Hayate left because of a fight between the two, Athena was left all alone again until Ikusa came to save her. How exactly Ikusa was able to destroy the correct Abraxas Pillar is unknown, but when Athena regained consciousness she was already outside the Royal Garden. Currently it is unknown if anyone is inside the Royal Garden.

Mykonos

Mykonos is the place where Nagi used to live in during her early childhood. It is here that Nagi started hating going outdoors because she was constantly being targeted by the Mafia. The Sanzenin home in Mykonos also has an underground area, and it was here that Yukariko supposedly found the King's Jewel. During their Golden Weekvacation; Nagi, AyumuHinagiku, Hayate, and Isumi actually explored the same place. In the underground labyrinth they found a mural containing information about the Royal Garden, it was written in Phrygian language which only Isumi understood. She read the first part of the words written but stopped, saying what was written was not good and telling them instead to leave immediately which they did.

Hayate getting punched by a much younger Nagi in Radical Dreamers

In Radical Dreamers, while Hayate and Nagi were strolling in Mykonos Nagi's hat got blown off by the wind. When hayate made to grab it he had traveled back in time to meet a much younger Nagi, this was the Nagi that used to lived in Mykonos. Shortly after their meeting she got attacked by the Mafia and Hayate promises to protect her. They outran the Mafia but one of them was able to get near enough to get a shot at Nagi, Hayate used Nagi's hat to make him miss the shot though the hat got damaged instead. This event would also trigger Sonia's quest for revenge against Nagi, as this was an indirect cause of her father's, the shooter, death.

After having saved Nagi, they went to the beach to look at the stars. Nagi's hat got blown off by the wind again, when Hayate tried to get it he disappeared as he went back to the current timeline taking the hat with him. Leaving the past Nagi bitter about his sudden disappearance and still oblivious to her savior's identity. In the current timeline; Nagi was looking for Hayate who had disappeared but it was much later during the night when Hayate returned with Nagi's hat. But the hat he had was already damaged by the gunshot which happened in the past. Nagi notices this, and somehow realizes that it was actually Hayate who saved her in the past though she does not mention anything.

Linn Regiostar killed by his own trap in the dungeon beneath the Tiger's Den for Butlers

The Tiger's Den for Butlers is a legendary training grounds for butlers. It was said that it is the last resort for unqualified butlers. It is located on the end of the world. Everyday, butlers who are undergoing training here undergo brutal ordeals to test their capabilities as butlers. Klaus sent Hayate here as punishment because he wasn't able to claim first place in the race with Nagi. The place is actually just a church and pretty run down since there are very few butlers in Japan. The place also has an underground dungeon which was created by a priest named Linn Regiostar. Linn actually died inside the dungeon because of a poison arrow trap made by him. During Hayate's training there he was supervised by a nun, Sonia Shaflnarz, who set him on numerous tasks.

Violet Mansion

30 years ago, Yukariko, who wanted to marry Klaus when she was young, gave Klaus the Violet Mansion as some sort of betrothal gift. She also made a promise to a cat: she asked him to protect the house and to punish Klaus if he ever brings a woman over while she is abroad for medical treatment.

The Violet Mansion is Nagi's new home, after she lost her inheritance and the right to live in the Sanzenin Mansion. Klaus gave the house and lot back to Nagi believing it was about time to return it to its rightful owner, Yukariko's daughter. To begin her new life, Nagi thought she could rent out the rooms for income, after repairing the house. But it was old and not very attractive. Hayate decided to be "part" of the rent, promoting the Violet Mansion as a house with a free butler. Nagi, Hayate, MariaTama and the first tenant, Chiharu Harukaze, are the current residents of the Violet Mansion. Now Hinagiku and Athena live there too.
